Renata Główczyńska, MD, PhD

She obtained an MD degree at the Medical University of Warsaw and a BSc degree at the Military University of Technology in 2004. Subsequently, she did a specialization in Internal Medicine in 2010 and in Cardiology in 2015. Since 2004, she has been working in the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology at the Medical University of Warsaw and at the Central Teaching Hospital in Warsaw. She completed doctoral studies in coronary collaterals circulation regarding hypoxia in patients with acute coronary syndromes. She was an editor-in-chief of 2 books: Cardiac diagnostic procedures in practice and Cardiac examination in amateur athletes. Her main areas of medical interests are: cirrhotic cardiomyopathy and cardiac assessment in candidates for liver transplantation, cardiac telerehabilitation in heart failure patients, non-invasive cardiac diagnostic modalities, and sports cardiology. She participated in the Teaching Mobility Program for academic teachers in Italy, Spain, and Belgium. Since April 2019, she has been an Associate Professor of the Medical University of Warsaw. She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and works as Past-President of Sports Cardiology Section of the Polish Society of Cardiology.
